Notes on Fire Pump Storage
Proper storage helps maintain pump performance and long-term reliability.
Thank you for your continued support of our products.
Portable fire pumps are often stored for extended periods. With proper storage practices, you can preserve performance and reduce avoidable service issues.
- Be sure to keep the fuel tank full. Low fuel leaves excess air in the tank, which can increase condensation and internal rust risk.
- Gasoline has an approximate shelf life of six months. Use fresh fuel to protect pump reliability and performance.
- Aged gasoline can degrade and create deposits that affect engine components, including the carburetor or fuel injection system.
- Review the operation manual for your specific model. Storage guidance varies by pump type.
