The Shibaura Auto Relay system enables portable fire pumps to operate automatically in relay pumping operations. When water from an upstream pump reaches the relay pump, the system detects the incoming pressure and begins boosting the water supply to the next stage.

This allows long hose lines to be deployed efficiently without requiring operators at every relay pump, making the system ideal for wildfire response, remote water supply, and extended firefighting operations.
